BANK HISTORY
In 1910 a small group of investors raised the capital to establish and open the Dupont State Bank in Dupont, Indiana which is located in northern Jefferson County. Their desire was to have a community bank that would serve the community and that was also owned by the individuals of the community.
Dupont State Bank still maintains the original location in Dupont, Indiana as its main office. In 1989 a branch was opened in Vernon, Indiana on the courthouse square. This location helped establish a base in Jennings County. The Vernon branch was moved to its new location of 220 N. State Street, North Vernon, Indiana in 2003. In 2007, after extensive growth, a Loan and Operations building was added as a third location beside the North Vernon branch. In April 2009 we opened a fourth branch in Seymour, Indiana at 1725 E. Tipton Street.
Over the years the bank has continued to prosper and grow. We have provided the communities that we serve with "Decades of Sound Banking" and are very proud of being able to carry out the vision of our founders.
While we are proud of our heritage it is the future that we eagerly anticipate. We look forward to continuing our present relationships and also establishing new relationships. Please allow us to provide the financial services that you need and remember we are small enough to know you and big enough to serve you.
